Sonder has a 27 year history of delivering primary care services. With a presence across both country and metro SA, our aim is to improve the health and wellbeing of the community by coordinating and integrating health and community services and by working in partnership to identify local needs and create strategies in response.
Working Location: Multiple Positions available to work at our Service Hubs which include Sonder Edinburgh North and Sonder Marion, with outreach to West, Central, and Outer South locations as required

Mission Australian and Sonder are collaborating to deliver Partners Toward Wellbeing, a unique service offering access to support AOD substance use and evidence-based interventions to assist with the management of co-occurring, or comorbid, mental health conditions.
Partners Toward Wellbeing (PTW) prioritises supports for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities as well as older persons, families and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the Adelaide Metropolitan Region. With locations spanning from Metropolitan North, Central Metropolitan and Metropolitan South we will be providing assertive outreach, counselling, care coordination, peer support and information/education.
The AOD Comorbidity Clinician will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of AOD Workers, Comorbidity Clinicians, and AOD Peer Support Workers through the Partners Toward Wellbeing Consortium to deliver evidence-based interventions to assist with the management of co-occurring, or comorbid, AOD and mental health conditions.
The goal of management is to allow AOD treatment to continue without mental health symptoms disrupting the treatment process, and to retain clients in treatment who might otherwise discontinue.
Working in a primary care setting the AOD Comorbidity Clinician will be responsible for providing integrated treatment services to individuals presenting with harms related to AOD substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns.
The successful applicant will hold A Tertiary Qualification in health, welfare, social or behavioural science with demonstrated extensive advance practice experience or knowledge in working with AOD. In addition, accreditation or eligible for accreditation as Mental Health Clinician will be desirable.
