Started in 2009, Social Care Solutions was born out of a desire to see higher standards in foster care assessment and training within the child protection sector, with an emphasis on strengths-based practice and trauma-informed care provision. Over time, we have grown from one individual contractor to a team of over 35 social workers, psychologists, human service practitioners, therapists and teachers around the country.
Social Care Solutions is able to provide efficient, effective and independent services to agencies within the child protection, child care and human services sectors. These services include training, assessment, evaluation and review, program design and development, mentoring, supervision, quality assurance and client support.
You will be a passionate, driven and articulate professional with a background in social work or similar, with experience in the child protection/out of home care field. You will have a high level understanding of trauma and its impacts on child development and functioning into adulthood. You will have great personal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly, and will have exceptional written skills, able to write high quality assessment reports for non-government and government departments.
Only applicants with the following minimal requirements will be considered.
Social Care Solutions require contract-based Independent Foster Care Assessors to complete a wide range of assessments; initial and renewal foster and kinship care assessments, special guardianship assessments, parenting capacity and suitability assessments. SCS consultants are offered the benefit and flexibility of a contractor model so they can take on the level and amount of work they desire. You choose your own hours to ensure you meet your contract requirements. You have the freedom to work from home, with no office-based work required. There are no set hours and the role is a contract-only role, paid per piece of work completed, so suits someone with flexibility, an ability to work autonomously and manage their own deadlines.
We offer you support and training, including induction upon successful application, regular access to senior mentors for supervision, access to shared online resources, regular ‘team’ events and social activities, and a Quality Assurance team to ensure your work is of continued high standard.
