The Smith Family is a national, independent children’s charity helping disadvantaged Australians to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves. The Programs Facilitator delivers the suite of career and transition programs in both Primary and Secondary schools to students at dates and times approved by the Regional Programs Manager.

A day in the life of a Programs Facilitator might look like this, but really every day will be different:

• Provide high quality instruction by applying program content to school students in both primary and secondary schools.
• Preparation of resources for delivery of sessions according to program requirements.
• Deliver session plans and activities in a manner that is responsive to participants needs and enhances engagement.
• Deliver content utilising computer/electronic and paper formats
• Program administration including collecting participant attendance and all administrative reporting as required by Analyst, Program Implementation and Program Coordinator.

It takes a special kind of person to be one of our Programs Facilitator. Successful candidates will bring the following:

• Demonstration of relevant qualifications and/or experience in delivering training
• Current driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Previous facilitator experience
• Facilitator experience in delivering to young people
• Willingness to travel up to one hour each way to deliver the program sessions
• Willing to undergo a Working with Children check
