The Smith Family is a national, independent children’s charity helping disadvantaged Australians to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves. We are currently seeking a Digital Platform Manager for a 12 month maternity leave contract, to join our growing team.

Reporting to the CIO and working with a dedicated and passionate team, this pivotal role will lead the development and operation of all Digital Platforms in use by The Smith Family. This includes driving the strategic roadmap and architecture, operational performance, service availability, management of technical debt and disaster recovery. You will drive high engagement with our Digital Marketing team and external vendors to ensure a flawless delivery to our community, partners and people, contributing to The Smith Family’s vision.

A day in the life of a Digital Platform Manager might look like this, but every day can be different.

Primarily, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining strong and effective customer service and relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Leading a high-functioning team, committed to service outcomes
  • Managing vendor contract management, engagement and co-ordination
  • Providing technical co-ordination for all projects and enhancements on the Digital Platforms using SCRUM
  • Working with internal and external providers to develop and implement solutions on time, within budget to exceptional quality that meet security, architecture and integration standards
  • Ensuring operational service levels are achieved
  • Managing Platform budget and spending

It takes a special kind of person to be our Digital Platform Manager.

Our successful candidate will bring the following:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Information Technology
  • Solid experience leading a team
  • Significant experience in Digital Application Development using ASP.NET Framework, C# JavaScript, MS Sql Server and Sitecore CMS and Moodle
  • Experience in DevOps environment
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
