Skill Dojo is a program run by non-for-profit organisation Ripple Movement, which focuses on teaching and developing the core life skills required for participants to lead a meaningful life. Skill Dojo target NSW NDIS participants who have social, intellectual or psychosocial disabilities aged 15-24. Skill Dojo develops NDIS participant’s life skills through the delivery of online mentoring sessions, building their capacity, increasing their opportunities, and improving their quality of life.
Skill Dojo is seeking goal orientated and driven people to engage NDIS participants, the community, organisations, Support Coordinators, parents and carers of NDIS participants. The key objective of the role is to offer Skill Dojo’s services to this group and have them join Skill Dojo for digital skill development mentoring sessions.
YOUR NEW ROLE WILL INCLUDE:
- Contacting NDIS participants, the community, organisations, Support Coordinators, parents and carers of NDIS participants.
- Developing business through marketing strategies and maintaining relationships, particularly with Support Coordinators.
- Liaising between the above groups, the Referral and Intake Manager and the Business Manager to best match NDIS participants to Skill Gurus (Life Skills Coach).
- Basic record keeping and administration processes to track and showcase outcomes.
- Working towards agreed upon goals and KPIs so the organisation can reach its outcomes.
- Assistance with Skill Dojo’s administrational and organisational tasks.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
- You will be passionate about working with disadvantaged people and the disability sector.
- Great people skills to create and maintain strong relationships with NDIS participants, the community, organisations, Support Coordinators, parents and carers of NDIS participants.
- Proven understanding of the community services sector with the ability to sell services.
- A strong and stable internet connection with your own laptop and web camera/microphone.
- A working with children check (WWCC) and criminal history check (CHC).
- Possess or be willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Qualifications in sales, management, the community service or education sector.
- Experience working with social, psychosocial or intellectual disabilities is highly regarded.
