The opportunity

Silver Chain has a fantastic opportunity for a Primary Remote Area Nurse (PRAN) to work in our Silver Chain Leeman clinic. The role is offered as a fixed term contract, part-time position, 68 hours a fortnight and when you are not working you can enjoy the amazing coastline or travel back to Perth. You will utilise your previous PRAN experience to deliver emergency, routine and non-emergency Care and clinical assessments. 

Key responsibilities

You will have well-developed interpersonal, problem solving and decision-making skills along with 5 years post registration experience preferably in a Remote Nursing and Community Health setting. The working hours for this position are between the hours of Monday-Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm with alternate friday's and weekends off. This position also has an on-call element. 

About you

• Current AHPRA Registration as a Nurse with no restrictions
• 5 Years Post Graduate experience
• Experience in Emergency Nursing
• Experience working solo
• Previous experience working in a remote community would be advantageous
• Advanced clinical assessment skills
• The ability to plan and implement holistic care for clients, family and community
• Have sound knowledge of the principles of primary health care delivery
• Compassion and enthusiasm, with a friendly approach
• Excellent communicational skills both Verbal and written
• A current Australian driver’s licence
• Ability to obtain a satisfactory National Police Certificate

Under the Aged Care act 1997, successful candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory National Police Clearance prior to commencement.

• Qualifications allowance - Eligible employees with a post graduate qualification will receive an additional annual amount as  a percentage of their base salary
