This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Registered Psychologist to join a start-up Psychology service, Embrace Wellness Hub (Embrace). Embrace will operate from our Manly West, Brisbane location during both business and after hours, as per the needs of the service. The successful applicant/s will be passionate and committed to working to a high standard, and delivering treatments to a wide variety of client presentations, with a special interest in performing cognitive assessments. The position would suit Psychologists who are versatile, experienced and client focused.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide broad range of psychological interventions and therapeutic support to individuals and groups, including to children, adolescents, adults and families
  • Conduct Cognitive Assessments
  • Maintain up to date, accurate and comprehensive records and case notes in accordance with Silky Oaks policy, AHPRA and best practice standards
  • Adhere to ethical standards of clinical and research practice in accordance with AHPRA policy frameworks
  • Complete all records, assessments and reports in a timely manner
  • Report to Department of Child Safety, Youth and Women all cases of suspected risk or harm to children and/or young people as per the policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the privacy of clients by maintaining confidentiality in accordance with relevant legislation and organisational policies
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, line and clinical supervision.
  • Flexibility to work after hours
  • Maintain a Police Clearance or Criminal Record Check
  • Adhere to all organisational policies, procedure handbooks, and work instructions

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completed four-year undergraduate sequence of study in Psychology
  • Full registration as a Psychologist and with APHRA
  • Must be eligible to work under the Medicare Better Access Initiative
  • Extensive and demonstrated experience providing a range of clinical psychological interventions
  • Experience and willingness to work with children, adolescents, adults and families
  • Demonstrated advanced practice skills and an ability to undertake Psychological testing and assessments covering a broad range of presentations
  • Experience administering the WISC-V, WIATT-III and WAIS-IV in clinical settings
  • Knowledge and understanding of the theory underpinning evidence-based interventions as well as demonstrated excellence in the practical application of such
  • Evidence of ongoing clinical supervision and ongoing professional development
  • Willingness to work within the established policies and procedures
  • Experience completing WorkCover assessments is highly desirable
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with external stakeholders, health practitioners
  • Proficient use of the Microsoft Office suite and general IT systems
  • Valid Police Clearance or Criminal Record Check or willing to undertake checks.
