Sealasash is a business that specialises in energy efficiency improvements to windows and doors. Our work incorporates comprehensive draught sealing, repairs and high performance glazing. 

Recently we have brought to market a high performance glazing system that allows old timber windows to perform better than today’s best triple-glazed windows. 

In the last decade we have upgraded more than 20,000 windows, making a significant difference to energy consumption in Melbourne. 

We believe that a transition to a high efficiency, clean energy future, relies on initiatives just like ours - initiatives that re-purpose existing infrastructure to achieve massive improvements to energy efficiency.

We are on the lookout for a Carpenters/joiners with tool-ready experience and/or experience related to traditional trade skills, preferably with heritage or wooden windows. 

Permanent positions, room to grow in responsibility, with above industry award depending on experience & skills.

We are looking for a motivated person wanting to become part of the team. Drivers license (manual) and hand tool experience essential.

THE ROLE

To undertake duties and perform work as directed by the lead Carpenter.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Adhere to Sealasash policies and procedures.

  • Follow the directions of the lead carpenter

  • Carry out daily work activities in an efficient, safe and environmentally compliant manner.

  • Uphold and encourage Sealasash Values at all times and maintain a high standard of work in accordance with Sealasash policies and procedures.

  • Follow all safety procedures including reporting safety issues.

  • Be professional and courteous at all times.

  • Ensure that the van(s) is stocked, tidy and clean.

  • Show initiative and be willing to learn new skills and apply them to work.

  • Attend training and development where required.

  • Share new ideas and innovation.

  • Maintain a positive attitude and be open with communication.

  • Maintain Sealasash confidentiality at all times.

Tasks - draught/acoustic sealing, wood rot repairs, machining, glazing, overhauling windows and doors. Supervision skills or a desire to assist in this area will be viewed as a positive.

At times some travel will be required and allowances apply.

MUST have a manual vehicle license.
