Where you come in:

In this full-time permanent position based in our Carlton Head Office, you will work on the development and implementation of website designs and applications, and maintenance of Save the Children Australia web properties and digital platforms. You will be part of our Digital team and report to our Senior Manager of Digital.

You will make an impact by:

  • Implementing website designs and maintaining our web properties and digital platforms
  • Assisting in developing the best possible digital customer experience for our supporters
  • Ensuring the website donation process and systems are working correctly
  • Providing insights into potential ways to optimise donation processing
  • Developing new user-facing web features and collaborating with other team members and stakeholders on website updates and adjustments

If we could compose the perfect you…

…You have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems, preferably both proprietary and open source. You enjoy the responsibility of interpreting and executing designs correctly, and your strong interpersonal skills will mean you can effectively communicate with the digital team and stakeholders across the organisation. You're a problem solver who can adapt quickly to new web design and application trends, and you're comfortable working in fast paced environments.

This role requires:

  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Knowledge of web applications, programming languages, and web services, such as APIs, REST, SOAP, and web user interface design (UI)
  • Proficient understanding of JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery and React, and of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Good working knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
