About the role

The purpose of this position is to perform the day to day coordination of activities in the Save the Children Australia Depot including the pickup and delivery of stock across the States stores network on a cyclic and needs basis, checking of stock quantities to ensure maximum stock levels in the shops, ensure the Depot is running efficiently and effectively and carry out small repairs and maintenance at Depot, Opportunity Shops and State Office.

This position reports to the Retail Operations Manager and works closely with a small team of retail staff, Volunteer Store Managers and Volunteers.  Occasional weekend work may be required.

About You

  • Proven retail experience in previous similar role.
  • Exceptional customer service focus (both internal and external stakeholders)
  • Rapport building and relationship building skills
  • Prior NGO/NFP experience, highly desirable
  • Ability to liaise with a diverse range of people with the ability to deal with complex interpersonal situations.
  • Basic mathematics and money handling ability.
  • Basic computer skills
  • High levels of attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Current Drivers licence, essential

This is a 3 month part time opportunity based at the Margot store with delivery and pick up across Brisbane. Ideally the successful candidate will be ready to start immediately.
