About the role

Save the Children Australia (SCA) is seeking a Nutrition Advisor to join our Public Affairs Team for a three to six month contract with the possibility of a longer period of engagement.

The purpose of the position is to lead Save the Children Australia’s work highlighting nutrition issues affecting children in our region.

Selection criteria

  • Highly developed policy analysis skills, including the ability to analyse complex policy issues and adapt for a variety of audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to adapt writing style for a range of audiences and products including government submissions, internal policy briefs and media.
  • Ability to network and build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of nutrition policy issues.
  • Experience in policy analysis and advocacy
  • Experience working with the Scaling up Nutrition initiative.
  • Higher degree in international relations, development or related topic.
