  • Above-Award salary of $59,000 ($98,000 equivalent full-time) per annum + superannuation

Based in Collingwood, Satellite Foundation seeks to contribute to futures of hope and possibility for children and young people across Victoria who have a family member with mental health challenges.

About the Role

This role focuses on building collaborative relationships with school communities, raising awareness of Satellite and will become a key contact point for our stakeholders.

You will continue to develop and implement a Schools Engagement Strategy that supports Satellite’s expansion into the education system and improves young people and their family’s access to an expanding range of supports across Victoria. 

Our Ideal Candidate 

We're seeking an experienced individual with a solid understanding of working within the education system, with young people, families and community experiencing mental health challenges.

You will have broad knowledge of the range of services and programs available to children, young people and families, a consultative and collaborative working style, with excellent skills in building and strengthening sustainable relationships. You will also be a confident presenter, able to engage with both young people and key stakeholders, including Department contacts.

You will understand the challenges and experiences of young people from diverse backgrounds including young people who are culturally and linguistically diverse, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, and LGBTIQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex or questioning), and may have a lived experience of mental health challenges yourself or of a significant other in your life.

You will need satisfactory police and working with children’s check, proof of right to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccinations. 

This role will have a requirement for travel to regional areas at times, so a full drivers’ license and access to own vehicle use is required.
