Afternoon Support Worker and Front Desk Administration

Sanctuary Housing has been servicing the Domestic Violence and Homelessness sectors for several years and runs low cost accommodation services across Sydney.

We are currently seeking a new team member to assist in the support in the administrative management of the daily running of our accommodation, as well as assisting the vulnerable clients/guests we work with.

Successful applicant would need to be willing to have a police working with children check and have a current first aid certificate.

Previous experience in hotel/motel management is preferred or work within a housing provider.

1.00 pm - 9.00pm

THE ROLE

Sanctuary Housing is looking for an experienced and compassionate Front Desk Administrator to join our team full time.

This is a busy role where you will demonstrate operational leadership and coordination of Sanctuary Housing’s culture and policies, while being focused on clients’ and guests’ needs.

We operate 3 shelters, 2 in Sydney’s Inner West and 1 in the Inner City, running 24/7, 365 days a year. Across three properties, we are currently able to accommodate 100 women and their children (and their pets!) at any one time. We operate at approximately 90% occupancy year-round.

YOUR Experience:

  • Ideal to have worked in previous Housing or Hotel/motel setting
  • RMS or cloud-based software
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Customer service
  • Australian working rights
  • Has a personable, helpful, and professional attitude
  • Has excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent computer and data management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • Proactive approach with the ability to be a self-starter
