Your new role

Our Clinical Care team provides high quality effective support for the residents in our Residential Service. The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) will provide individual personal care as identified in each resident’s care plan.

The PCA will report to the Registered Nurse on duty, actively participate in handover, work respectfully within a wider team, maintain resident confidentiality and professional boundaries, enter information into the Resident Management System and maintain punctuality.

Your day-to-day

A typical day will involve handover with your colleagues, with your colleagues, assist residents with personal care needs as identified in each resident’s care plan, enter documentation into the Resident Management System. You will assist in providing an environment that is calm, clean and well presented, follow infection control procedures and always work within professional boundaries.

We're looking for someone

  • Who is able to effectively provide the personal care needs of younger people who live with mental illness and have experienced trauma and homelessness.
  • With a Certificate 3 or 4 in Aged Care
  • With substantial experience in providing personal care in a Residential environment
  • Who is motivated, keen to learn, team focused and with strong interpersonal skills
  • Who demonstrates compassion, initiative and an understanding of confidentiality
  • Who has computer literacy
  • With medication competency (desirable)
