About the Department
BETRS pursues best practice and innovative service delivery for people with an eating disorder in the North Eastern metropolitan and rural corridor of Victoria. BETRS provides primary, secondary and tertiary consultation services.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an Eating Disorders Clinician to join the Team. The successful incumbent will contribute to the key activities of the Service including intake, assessment and treatment planning, day patient program and specialist individual treatment.
Classifications for this position will range from:
- OT/SW/Music Therapist Grade 2 YB20 - YB23 or YC42 - YC45 or YB74 - YB77 ($81,328 - $93,490 per annum prorata)
- Psychologist Grade 2 PK1 - PK4 ($84,541 - $95,165 per annum prorata)
- RPN Grade 3 NP81 - NP74 ($91,000 - $101,056 per annum prorata)
Duties
- Best practice clinical interventions are provided to consumers and carers of the Service across the BETRS Model of Care.
- Provide clinical support and advice to the broader mental health service system in relation to the sub speciality of eating disorders.
- Actively apply the principles of continuous quality improvement towards clinical, evaluation and service development activities of BETRS.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated skill, experience and competence in the delivery of evidence based assessments and interventions for with people with eating disorders.
- Demonstrated skill, experience and competence in the provision of evidence based therapeutic interventions in group settings.
- Demonstrated skill, experience and competence in working as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team.
- Demonstrated skill, experience and competence in promoting a standard of excellence in clinical practice.
- Demonstrated skill, experience and competence to work collaboratively, effectively and efficiently across a range of inpatient and community settings.
- Demonstrated competence in initiating and contributing to quality improvement, evaluation and research activities.
- Experience in building and maintaining professional relationships with key stakeholders internal and external of St. Vincent's and Austin Health; including consumers, carers, family members, GP's Private Psychiatrists, AMHS, CAMHS and community agencies
- A comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of the Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation.
