This position will include rotations through ICU and other areas of critical care at St Vincent's and affiliated hospitals. It is designed for residents seeking a career in Intensive Care medicine, as the start of an exciting pathway being developed to progress through ICU training with St Vincent's Health.
Supervision and training is provided from our tertiary ICU, with the expectation that you will learn core ICU knowledge and skills including vascular access, airway management, and respiratory, cardiovascular and renal support over the year.
You will have the opportunity to meet foundation requirements for entry into the CICM training program, access to our well established first and second part ICU examination preparation and education sessions, and the prospect of entering a multi-year pathway offering core ICU in a tertiary (C24) centre, anaesthetics and medical rotations in addition to clinical research projects.

You will have the opportunity to rotate through all three (3) streams including anaesthetics during the year, however predominantly allocated to the stream you are appointed if successful.
Hours: 1 EFT (38 hrs)
Duration of appointment: Feb 2021 - Feb 2022

Classification Range: HM13 - HM23 ($85,763 - $162,162)
