The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a leading NFP organisation and make a difference in the community by overseeing the day-to-day operations and ongoing development of the Disability Services program based in the Toowoomba area. A key focus of this position is ensuring the delivery of sustainable high-quality support to people with a disability so that they can achieve personal goals and maintain socially valued roles, friendships and relationships, within the resources available to them.

You will ensure that services are provided within the NDIS regulatory framework, legislation, compliant with Society policy and procedures and be responsive to service demands. As an effective leader you will supervise teams of support workers, providing guidance and assistance, including management, review and assessment of work practices, client documentation and rostering. As part of a team you will provide out of hours support and assistance to the program (on call) including on weekends.

To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification in Disability or Community Services
  • Demonstrated program coordination and leadership skills, including human resources and financial management, quality assurance, risk management and reporting
  • Knowledge of and ability to work within relevant NDIS funding guidelines and legislative requirements relating to the delivery of program outcomes and safety and risk
  • Previous experience as a coordinator or team leader of equivalent supervisory position with accountability for operational outcomes and direct reports
  • Ability to inspire and lead a small team including well-developed interpersonal, communication, IT and organisation skills
  • Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • Qld Government Yellow or NDIS Worker Screening card
  • Valid Driver's Licence
