  • Improving coordination of care to ensure patients receive the right care in the right place at the right time.

About the role

The role of the Senior Data Analyst is to lead the implementation and delivery of best practice approaches for the collection, analysis and reporting of population health and service data, and contribute to the development and monitoring of effective performance indicators.

This role works with SEMPHN teams to address their data needs including collecting, analysing and presenting relevant population health data, and other datasets to identify health trends, impacts and gaps for SEMPHN.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in either data analytics/health planning/public health/health admin/health education with an emphasis on data analysis and data management or equivalent
  • Advanced conceptual and analytical skills including the proven ability to use and interpret epidemiological and social planning data
  • Demonstrate experience in maintaining and querying complex relational databases (Access, SQL)
  • Strong knowledge of research and statistical methodologies and extensive experience in the use of computer software packages to analyse data (such as SAS, Stata, SPSS, Python, R)
  • Demonstrated experience with developing dashboards using tools such as Power BI/Qlik Sense
  • Demonstrated experience in quantitative and qualitative research and interpretation .
  • Demonstrated experience in the analysis and interpretation of large complex data; ideally with health data sets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to effectively and accurately convey data insights to a range of audiences
  • Strong team player and commitment to skills sharing and mentoring
