The Individual Giving team builds meaningful connections with several key donor segments in order to raise critical funds for kids’ health.
The Individual Giving team ensures donors have valuable and meaningful communications from the first interaction and donation to the Foundation. Donors will have a clear understanding of the impact their contribution makes and have clear path to convert and upgrade based on their philanthropic needs.
The Digital Marketing Specialist is a key part of the Individual Giving team; ensuring the implementation, management and optimisation of 4 key areas –Appeals, Acquisition, Regular Giving, and Donor Retention and Re-Engagement for the team’s donor segments.
Specific Responsibilities include
- Strategise, manage and monitor end-to-end integrated, multi-stage, digital marketing appeal campaigns and donor journeys across paid social, display advertising, SEM, EDMs and SMS, leveraging the SCHF brand and IG products to ensure IG donors feel part of a community. Work with the Brand, Marketing and Communications team and agency partners to execute.
- Work with external agencies and internal stakeholders to direct and produce branded graphics, video, photography and copy for use in appeals and programs.
- Effectively manage day-to-day supplier relationships including creative agencies and designers, as well as managing costs, quotes, briefs and campaign timelines.
- Report and analyse digital marketing activity to inform future data-led decisions.
- Develop strategies to optimise digital advertising efforts, including managing and implementing test and learn activities and preliminary campaigns before scaling.
Acquisition of new supporters
- Develop and manage digital acquisition and lead generation campaigns for individual and regular donors.
- Source and develop content for digital campaigns and programs.
- Effectively evaluate and analyse each campaign to ensure financial outcomes are met and key learnings are identified and applied to future marketing activities.
Retain, re-engage and convert individual and regular givers
- Own the digital donor engagement strategy and drive go-to-market plans across strategic pillars for donor retention.
- Support the development, content creation, management and optimisation of user journeys and supporter experience for all programs.
- Assist in the exploration and optimisation of our donor base through data segmentation, propensity modelling and donor profiling.
- Report and analyse new supporters, RG conversions and revenue results.
- Analyse the donor lifecycle to identify optimisation and conversion opportunities.
- Assist in strategising and building memorable donor experiences.
Experience, Qualification & Competency Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and / or relevant equivalent experience preferably in a relevant discipline such as fundraising, business, advertising, marketing or communications
- At least 3-5 years’ experience with a high-level application of digital marketing or a similar digital specific role
- Proven experience devising and managing digital fundraising programs or campaigns, preferably at complex organisations.
- One year of experience managing direct reports is preferred
Functional / Technical Skills & Competencies
- Previous experience in integrated campaign management or multichannel direct marketing experience, ideally within a relevant not-for-profit organisation or fundraising agency.
- High proficiencies in digital marketing including paid social media, above the line advertising, SEM and web development.
- Strategic, data driven decision maker with reporting and analytical skills – using Google Analytics and Salesforce.
- Excellent communication, relationship management, planning and organisational skills
- Strong copywriting, creative and content development skills with attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and to collaborate across teams to achieve enhanced outcomes.
- High level computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite and previous experience using CRM databases.
