Rozelle Neighbourhood Centre has a 35 year history of supplying community development and services in the Inner West. Our Community Development program focuses on work with women, tenants of social housing and people experiencing financial disadvantage, though everyone is welcome. Our services work with people with a disability of all ages, older people and their carers, at home and in the community. We are a Registered NDIS Provider, supplying Plan Management and Support Coordination. The Centre receives support from Inner West Council, the State and Federal Governments. We work in partnership with other community providers and with our local community.

About the role - General Manager, Rozelle Neighbourhood Centre

Reports to: RNC Management Committee
Managerial Responsibility for: Staff and Volunteers

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Day to day management of Rozelle Neighbourhood Centre.
  • Monitoring and management of the sustainability of RNC.
  • Supervision and leadership of RNC Coordinating staff and oversight of RNC team, including support staff and volunteers. This includes 6-8 direct reports.
  • Management of NDIS, My Aged Care and other community service programs.
  • Management of accountabilities in line with RNC Committee requirements.
  • Monthly reporting to RNC Management Committee against the organisation’s Strategic Goals.
  • Stakeholder engagement across operations.
  • Innovation of RNC programs and projects to ensure organisational sustainability.
  • Leadership of quality management and third-party verification processes.
  • Oversight of organisational risk and continuous improvement.
  • Management of continuous improvement across the organisation.
  • Conflict Management and Negotiation.
  • Ensure RNC has stable tenancy.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for income.
  • Represent RNC to support its development.
  • Manage the organisation’s identity and operations in consultation with its key stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership on client engagement and problem solving.
  • Manage organisational infrastructure and capacity.

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant tertiary and other qualifications.
  • Resilience and management insight.
  • Experience managing NDIS operations.
  • Understanding of Human-Centred practices and Community Development.
  • Experience in team and client management.
  • Experience in Risk Assessment and Quality Management.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and translate policy and regulatory documents.
  • Flexibility and responsiveness to changes in the community and Centre.
  • Ability to manage changing demands and circumstances.
  • Willingness to undertake local travel to fulfil your duties.
