Road Safety Education Limited (RSE) is a not-for-profit organisation which is committed to reducing trauma on our roads through the delivery of industry-leading, evidence-based road safety workshops for high school students.

RYDA is a practical workshop for senior high school students, empowering young drivers and their passengers with the knowledge and practical skills to make better decisions on the road.

A key element of the success of RYDA are our highly trained and motivated facilitators and with a growing list of schools and venues, we are seeking Program Facilitators to start in May 2021.

To be a Program Facilitator you will need to:

  • Facilitate group discussion in a workshop style, and connect with a teenage audience (16-18 year old).
  • Cross-train for multiple sessions to increase your availability and understand how the sessions interrelate.
  • Demonstrate strong ability in time management, teamwork and adaptable to keep students engaged while ensuring quality presentation delivery.
  • Adhere to all RSE/RYDA policies and procedures.

In order to be successful in this role, the following experience/skills are necessary:

  • Comfortable presenting to small and large groups
  • Able to learn a scripted presentation so as to not have to read from the script whilst still getting key messages across
  • Able to project your voice
  • Punctual and Reliable
  • Be well-presented and neatly attired (Smart Casual)
  • Experience with working with a range of ages and volunteers would be an advantage
  • Be able and willing to travel to our venues (Northern Beaches, Penrith, Sydney Olympic Park, Cecil Park) or to schools for incursions.
  • Flexible working hours
  • Experience in presenting/facilitating. A Certificate IV training and assessment would be advantageous.
  • Undergraduate student studying Education, Psychology or Arts (drama) or Social Work may also be interested in applying
  • A valid NSW Working with Children Check

Full training and materials will be provided.

Expected commencement date: May 2021

This role is a Casual position. Perfect for someone with a flexible schedule, currently working part-time and requiring more hours or someone currently studying.

Working weekdays, typically 9:00am - 2:00pm, not including travel time to venues (some hours differ depending on event specifics).

Pay rate is $30 - $40 per hour (depending on experience), Program hours are typically 9am -2pm (invoiced to us after each workshop).
