About the job

The Supporter Engagement Coordinator provides a professional and responsive service to prospective and current members, subscribers, donors and stakeholders interacting with Renew. As the first point of contact, this role is key to managing external relationships and meeting the needs of our supporters, and also provides support to Renew’s branches. This role includes managing supporter records and data in our CRM. 0.8FTE role. 

This role reports directly to management or the CEO.

Responsibilities include:

1. Take primary responsibility to manage Renew’s supporters, and stakeholders:

  • Act as the first point of contact on phone and email.
  • Respond to any concerns from members, subscribers and donors or direct when appropriate.
  • Accurately maintain records for members, subscribers and donors, including records of inquiries.
  • Process payments/refunds for memberships, subscriptions and donations.
  • Undertake retention calls to supporters to inspire them to continue or upgrade their commitment.
  • Process year end financial receipts for donors.
  • Prepare monthly and annual supporter data.
  • Proactively identify CRM and administrative challenges (e.g. payments / renewals) and liaise and problem solve with the team to resolve.

2. Support Renew’s supporter engagement strategy, including:

  • Participate in supporter engagement strategy development with the team.
  • Implement the supporter engagement strategy in collaboration with the team.
  • Report feedback and results to management.

3. Undertake general administration, including management of incoming mail, bank deposits, customer orders (magazines and other products) and phone setup.

4. Other duties as directed.

Selection Criteria

Essential

  • Two years’ experience providing professional, responsive, and efficient customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • A professional telephone manner and the ability to build rapport with a range of diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated competency in use of CRMs, online platforms, or the capacity and skills to quickly become competent.
  • Office administration experience.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to show initiative, and work independently and as a collaborative team member.

Desirable

  • Appropriate certificates (i.e., Cert IV in Office Administration) or a relevant diploma.
  • A broad knowledge of sustainability.
  • Experience working in a not for profit.

Work arrangements

This is a remote-work from home position, preferably based in Melbourne, but applicants from around Australia will be considered.

The hours of work can be negotiated, however, due to the nature of the role, there will be required core times.
