The Role.

San Carlo are looking for an experienced Executive Manager to lead and oversee the work of their Care team. As a member of the senior management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing care services and ensuring efficient operational support.

The ideal candidate will be a competent leader able to provide guidance that enhances performance in a manner which incorporates San Carlo's vision and culture.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Provide direction, efficient management and coordination of Care staff in accordance with the Mission and Values.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of all policies & systems relating to the Care function.
  • Manage all aspects of the Care function to meet organisational goals and objectives, ensuring the highest standard of care within budgetary limitations.
  • Ensure that the organisation receives optimal funding for resident and community care.
  • Ensure that compliance management systems are effective.
  • Maintain accreditation and funding levels to ensure future organisation viability.

Formal Qualification Requirements

  • General registration on Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Register of Nurses in Division 1 Registered Nurses
  • Minimum eight years post-basic or post-graduate nursing experience and minimum two years full-time administrative experience as a Nursing Unit Manager or higher.
  • Additional qualification in Gerontological Nursing or other relevant field or demonstrated competency in an aged care environment.

Essential Knowledge and Competencies

  • Proven ability to lead, take overall responsibility and be accountable for Care functions.
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level competencies in the provision of Nursing and Residential Care Services in an Aged Care environment.
  • Ability to hold direct reports accountable for their actions and decisions
  • Proven experience in staff performance management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team through coaching and mentoring to facilitate ongoing staff development and efficiency
  • Conflict resolution and client service skills
  • Demonstrated high level knowledge and understanding of the Health and Aged Care sectors.
  • Demonstrated application skills in the use of relevant computer programs.
  • Experience developing and implementing initiatives to gain maximum employee engagement.
