At Real Community Services (RCS) we provide quality services to people living with a disability within an in-home or community setting. With a brilliant team across Sunshine Coast, Greater Brisbane, Ipswich and the Gold Coast, we are there to help our Participants to achieve their goals to live a fulfilling life. Our Nursing services commenced in 2021 and we have become a trusted, recognised and preferred provider in this space. The Role

We are currently recruiting for an appropriately skilled and enthusiastic Full-Time Registered Nurse, servicing the North Brisbane Region. Full-Time employment with RCS Nursing is Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm! No shift work or Public Holidays involved.

As a Registered Nurse with RCS, you will be responsible for the individualised Clinical Support requested by and in collaboration our Participants. Nursing Support may include: Wound Care, Bowel Care & Management, Diabetes Care, Seizure Management, Tracheostomy Management, Continence and Catheter Care, Ventilator Management, and Subcutaneous Injection Support. Writing clinical plans is an integral part of this role. Our Nurses also provide training to the developed plan to ensure that participants support networks are trained to deliver care. Your clinical expertise will assist people with a disability to improve their health and wellbeing and improve their ability to be actively involved in their local community.

We require the successful applicant to be competent in managing a caseload, building and sustaining the caseload, through expert clinical care and support, accepting referrals and performing the administrative tasks involved.

Skills and Experiences

  • Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA – with no conditions applied to the registration
  • Prior experience in Community Nursing working with people living with disabilities and complex health care needs is highly desirable
  • Experience in the delivery of Training to Support Workers (TAE Qualification highly desirable)
  • Must have a QLD driver's licence as you will be provided with a fleet vehicle for work purposes.
  • Current Paid employee Blue Card (or willing to obtain before employment)
  • Current Paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain before employment)
  • Current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain before employment)
  • NDIS 'Worker Orientation' module (or willing to obtain before employment)
  • COVID 19 Infection Control certificate (or willing to obtain before employment)
  • Full Australian working rights
  • The ability to use Participant information systems and IT platforms
  • Two current (within the past 2 years) professional references from a supervisor will be required

In order to be considered for this role you must have a minimum 3 years experience as a Nurse.
