Real Community Services was established in January 2006 and now provides thousands of personal support hours per week to hundreds of people with disability, acquired brain injury or neurological conditions by focusing on empowering and improving their lifestyles.

With a brilliant team across Sunshine Coast, Greater Brisbane, Ipswich and the Gold Coast, we are there to help our Participants to achieve their goals to live a fulfilling life. The Role

We are currently recruiting for an appropriately skilled and enthusiastic Casual Registered Nurse or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse, servicing the Gold Coast to South Brisbane Region.

As a Registered or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse with RCS, you will be responsible for the individualised Clinical Support requested by our Participants. Clinical supports will be provided to participants receiving High Intensity Care within their NDIS Plans and may include: Wound Care, Bowel Care & Management, Diabetes Care, Seizure Management, Tracheostomy Management, Continence and Catheter Care, Ventilator Management, and Subcutaneous Injection Support. Writing clinical plans are an integral part of this role. Our Nurses also provide training to the developed plan to ensure that participants support networks are trained to deliver care, and we would love you to be involved in that. You will provide a range of community Nursing services to assist people with a disability to improve their health and wellbeing to improve their ability to be actively involved in their local community.

Skills and Experiences

• Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA – with no conditions applied to the registration
• Prior experience in Community Nursing working with people living with disabilities and complex health care needs is highly desirable
• Experience in the delivery of Training to Support Workers (TAE Qualification highly desirable)
• Must have a QLD driver's licence
• Current Paid employee Blue Card (or willing to obtain before employment)
• Current Paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain before employment)
• Current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain before employment)
• NDIS 'Worker Orientation' module (or willing to obtain before employment)
• Full Australian working rights
• The ability to use Participant information systems and IT platforms
• Two current (within the past 2 years) professional references from a supervisor will be required
