We have an exciting new position working across a range of service enhancement and evaluation projects.

The aim of the role is contribute to impact in the community, working across operations and corporate services at Ruah. This role is responsible for supporting the business across program evaluation. This role requires a high level of initiative, analytical and interpersonal communication and writing skills and expertise in program monitoring and evaluation.

Reporting to the Service Lead Business Development, Research & Evaluation, the successful candidate will have previous experience of developing and implementing evaluations and knowledge of program evaluation techniques.

This position will operate within the Perth Metro area. This is a part time (19 hours), fixed term position until 30 June 2022 with the possibility of extension based on funding.

Who are we looking for?

It is expected that the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:

Essential

  • Willingness and ability to work within and contribute to the vision, mission, core values and the guiding principles of the organisation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of diversity, gender and social inclusion, particularly Aboriginal culture.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification supplemented by recent experience (3-5 years) in program evaluation and assessment of service impact using quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Demonstrated experience of successfully developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation of community service programs and knowledge of program evaluation techniques (theory of change, program logic model, data collection and data management and reporting)
  • Advanced written communication and editing skills, strong ability to capture a clear, concise message, edit, format and proof-read documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, engagement and relationship building skills with demonstrated ability to establish confident relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and development of best practice knowledge in evaluation practice, including action research, developmental evaluation, cost-effectiveness analysis, surveys and co-design and demonstrated experience applying these methodologies in a flexible and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative.
  • Advanced data analysis skills, including thematic analysis of qualitative data, case studies and data analysis using MS Excel.
