About the Role
We are recruiting a paid Store Manager to manage our Bayswater Op Shop in a permanent full-time capacity. Reporting to the Op Shop Network Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in leading the current team of volunteers while overseeing the daily operations of the store to ensure its profitability, sustainability and positive presence within the local community.
What we are looking for from you
- Previous experience in a retail leadership role is essential with proven ability to achieve sales targets
- Ability to manage, lead and develop a team of volunteers
- Provide leadership and support in the management of the Op Shop’s operations including overseeing pricing, maximising profitability and achieving sales targets
- Maintain high levels of customer service and increase upsell opportunities
- Ensure RSPCA Victoria is represented positively in the local community
- Lead the provision of effective and efficient stock management, visual merchandising and contribute to the profitability and sustainability of the Op Shop.
- Ensure a safe working environment whereby employees and volunteers perform their duties safely and adhere to all WH&S policies and procedures, including responsibility for undertaking investigations and corrective actions to reduce the risk and likelihood of incidents occurring.
- Willingness to work weekends. Saturdays form part of the 5 day per week role
Requirements for this role
- Current and valid Victorian Driver’s License
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- Willingness to obtain an Employee Working with Children's Check
