RSB supports people who are blind or have vision impairment to gain new skills, be engaged in life and grow confidence at home, at work and in their communities. Working together, RSB supports a culture of participation, meaning and purpose with the understanding that small changes can often have a powerful impact.

The RSB is looking to appoint a Pathway Support Specialist on a 9-month contract to support new and existing customers to engage with RSB services, establish goals, identify appropriate services and connect with funding pathways.

The successful applicant will:

• Support all new and existing customers by providing information about services and opportunities for funding subsidies.
• Establish non-NDIS individual service agreements with customers using the RSB CRM.
• Support new and existing customers to establish goals and generate appropriate referral pathways within RSB Service Delivery.
• Monitor all non NDIS customer Service Agreements for available funds where new RSB services are being requested.
• Attach customers eligible for CHSP and other grant funding to the appropriate block service agreement in RSB CRM.
• Roster allied health professionals, support staff, volunteers and other business staff to support customers receiving the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Aged Care service and fee for service supports.
• Ensure support is scheduled and is responsive to meet the individual’s needs within the scope of the program.

Empathy for persons who are blind or vision impaired and the ability to relate to persons of all ages, abilities and of a cultural and linguistically diverse background is essential.

A satisfactory National Police and DCSI Clearance is required.

The ability to work out of normal hours with some evening and weekend work when required.
