Richmond Fellowship Queensland (RFQ) is seeking a professional and motivated professional to lead the NDIS Support Coordination team in Toowoomba.

About the position

The Coordinator provides direction, guidance, coaching and training to staff in the NDIS Support Coordination team and is also responsible for:

  • Compiling internal and external reports to management
  • Coordinating and leading staff meetings
  • Supervising and supporting the team to develop and follow processes to ensure the achievement of contractual Key Performance Indicators
  • Ensuring compliance with operational guideline and relevant legislation and program policies
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, including but not limited to family, government agencies and other service providers and community organisations
  • Ensuring records in client information systems and other software are accurate and recorded and processed in a timely manner
  • Assisting the team when dealing with escalated issues
  • Coordinating resources for the team

Requirements include

  • Tertiary Qualifications in social work, psychology, behavioural sciences, and/or a human services related field or lesser qualifications and significant demonstrable experience
  • Strong experience in service delivery
  • A strong sense of professional boundaries and integrity
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to a registered roadworthy and insured vehicle (minimum third-party property)
  • Knowledge and experience in the NDIS
  • Undergo criminal history screening and obtain and maintain a valid NDIS worker screening clearance pursuant to the Disability Services Act 2006 (Qld)

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated skills using client information management systems
  • The ability to build rapport quickly and effectively with multiple stakeholders including clients, the NDIA, Queensland Health, other NGOs, Office of Public Guardian and private health services
  • The ability to be self-driven and autonomous
  • Professional advocacy skills
