In Victoria, The Flying Doctor has an extensive patient transport operation by air and road, complemented by a range of mobile and fixed primary health services, such as dental, optical, mental health, GP clinics, speech therapy and a growing number of digital health technologies.
The Royal Flying Doctor Service Victoria has been providing Telehealth specialist and healthcare services to rural Victorians in need since November 2013. Our service is enhance by our strong partnership with local health services and specialist providers.
Flying Doctor Telehealth is a vital service that relies heavily on the generosity of donors like you for its funding. Currently, 70% of our operating costs are covered by donations and other forms of charitable giving. Your support enables us to provide essential medical care to those who need it most, regardless of their location or financial situation.
Paediatric Telehealth provides access to online telehealth appointments with a Paediatrician. The services see non-acute patients aged 17 years or under for reasons such as developmental concerns, growth concerns, neonatal follow up or general health issues.
The Specialist clinician will work as part of the Flying Doctor Telehealth specialist service, providing and delivering online specialist appointments (video telehealth only) to eligible patients.
Specialists are supported by and work with the Flying Doctor Telehealth team to deliver high quality care. The Flying Doctor Telehealth team will provide platform and communication support between specialist and patient/GP or partner health service, including:
