Catholic Healthcare is a trusted, leading not-for-profit provider of residential aged care, home care, retirement living and healthcare reaching across the east coast of Australia. Our team of over 4000 people are dedicated to our Mission of helping the people that we serve, by offering a person-centred holistic approach that is tailored, flexible and covers every stage of life’s journey.
The way we care is what makes us different. At Catholic Healthcare, we respect the unique dignity and richness of every person. We partner with our residents, clients and patients to nurture each individual so that they may live their lives to the full.
Catholic Healthcare has experienced a significant period of change, growth and disruption within which Mission has played a significant role in supporting the leadership, staff and residents’ wellbeing. As Director of Mission, you will take a strong role in developing Catholic Healthcare’s Mission strategy for the future, shaping the organisation’s culture and practices through effective engagement with key internal and external stakeholders and ensuring that our Mission and Identity are understood and alive across all parts of the organisation.
Reporting to the CEO, and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for influencing and overseeing the faithful articulation, comprehension, communication and integration of the Catholic ethos, mission and values in shaping the culture of Catholic Healthcare.
You will guide and lead the Mission Services and Pastoral Care teams and provide senior leadership guidance and support in the delivery of Catholic Healthcare’s Mission Framework, objectives and initiatives.
Key to this role will be your ability to develop and nurture positive, effective and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including other Church bodies, aged care providers and government.
This role is a permanent, full-time position with flexibility to work from the office at Macquarie Park and at home. An attractive salary, salary packaging and bonus incentive is on offer. Occasional travel will be required.
Your understanding of, and capacity to promote, the mission and values of Catholic Healthcare are key to this role. Just as important is your demonstrated ability to introduce change and obtain the buy-in to change initiatives. You will bring your flexible leadership style and highly developed relationship-building and interpersonal skills to this role.
Specifically, you will ideally possess the following core capabilities:
The successful candidate will be required to hold a current driver’s licence, undertake a National Criminal History Record Check and Working With Children Check, and able to provide evidence of Covid-19 Immunisation.
