Riding for the Disabled is looking to fill the position of Admin Assistant in our State Office in Flemington. The position is Casual and therefore flexible in the days and hours you can work, which makes it perfect for students or someone looking for flexibility. Depending on the season the hours can vary from 30 to 15 hours a week. We are also looking for someone who has a background in equestrian.

Riding for the Disabled Association of Victoria (RDAV) is a specialist charity sporting and recreational equestrian organisation that adapts saddles, equipment, coaching techniques and horse education to assist riders with a disability meet their sporting, recreation and health goals. RDAV operates in 34 locations throughout Regional and Metropolitan Victoria.
About the Role:
The Admin Assistant gives support to the State Manager, State Coaching Coordinator and Financial Officer.
Duties will include:
- Support State Manager and RDAV appointed Accountant/Finance Officer in meeting financial recording and reporting requirements/compliance.
- Assisting with basic reception duties, filing, photocopying, stationery ordering etc as directed by the State Office Manager.
- respond to general enquiries over the phone or by email
- Undertake data collection and data entry and ensure databases and spreadsheets are updated and maintained
- Create queries and export reports from our CRM system to centres, staff and board members.
- Process payments by credit card for events, clients and membership registration.
- Demonstrate involvement in improving systems and performance of the administration of the organisation.
- Maintain the waiting list.
- Corresponding with Centres, Committees, Volunteers and Riders
- Assisting the State Office Manager and State Coaching Coordinator with event and project management
- Maintaining Website and social media
- Support good governance and reporting from all centres to the centre of excellence guidelines
- Administration tasks met in a timely manner
- Achieving and practising good communication between stakeholders including phone calls answered and/or messages returned the same day
- Managing and creating receipts and invoices and reconciling payments.
