This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, experienced family safety practitioner at our Cranbourne North centre to join Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) in this important role with staff who have been delivering effective client focused services and outcomes for over 70 years in Victoria.

RAV provides services from centres across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Manager Southern and Eastern Melbourne, and in collaboration with centre staff, this position has multiple components to advance the practice of working with families affected by family and domestic violence. This will include conducting telephone psycho-social assessments and providing information and referrals to a wide range of RAV support, therapeutic and group work programs.

This role is based at our Cranbourne North centre and is a great opportunity for an individual looking for full-time hours. This role is a fixed-term contract until June 2023,. Pending funding review and contractual obligations, this role may be extended beyond this date.

Skills, experience and qualifications

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, counselling or a related social science discipline.
  • Completion of Multi Agency Risk Assessment and Risk Management (MARAM) Framework training.
  • Previous demonstrated experience of a commitment to advocating and enhancing family safety and to living non-violently.
  • Significant experience working with parents and children affected by family violence.
  • Significant experience in undertaking whole of family psycho-social assessments and safety plans.

A competitive salary package is on offer to the successful candidate with a base salary range of $86k to $92k per annum, superannuation, and access to salary packaging.
