This position is part of small HR team that works collaboratively across all areas of RACR in providing effective and timely HR support to the organisation. Coordinating generalist administrative activities for all HR functions, the HR Officer has a strong recruitment focus and supports the entire employee lifecycle.

Your new role

  • Full time or Part time, Ongoing position
  • Up to 37.5 hours per week
  • Located at Deakin, ACT
  • Hourly rate between $39.86 - $42.89

Under the supervision of the Senior Human Resources Officer, HR officer is responsible for:

  • Undertake general administrative duties such as interpretation and application of RACR Enterprise Agreement, preparing correspondence, making bookings, maintaining spreadsheets, organizing and maintaining files, preparing basic reports etc. related to key HR functions, payroll administration, training and development, performance appraisals, health and wellbeing
  • Coordinate recruitment processes, onboarding and induction for new employees
  • Assisting with employee relations and staff engagement, ensuring compliance with HR legislation and RACR policy and procedure
  • Support setting up of meetings, interviews, training programs including appropriate ICT infrastructure

What you’ll need to succeed

  1. Minimum certificate IV in Human Resources or a related field (or actively working towards qualification).
  2. Commitment to the values of a community service organisation and excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate sensitively and respectfully with a variety of stakeholders.
  3. Demonstrated relevant experience in a similar role and ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure with excellent organisational and prioritising skills.
  4. Understanding of Confidentiality and Privacy issues.
