At Lutheran Education Queensland Early Childhood & OSHC Services we are passionate about providing quality education and care within a Christian environment to children attending our Services throughout Queensland.

Peace Outside School Hours Care in Gatton is co-located on the grounds of Peace Lutheran Primary School. It operates daily from Monday to Friday for before and after school care as well as operating a Vacation Care program throughout the school holidays.

The position

We are looking for passionate, caring and amazing Educators for casual ongoing work! As part of a small team you will be working with other dedicated educators with a commitment to ongoing quality improvement in the OSHC space.

Do you hold a Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education, other OSHC qualification or even studying towards? You are invited to apply for immediate start!

Duties include:

  • Actively supervising and engaging 5-12-year-olds in a variety of activities.
  • Undertaking the duties of Responsible Person when required.
  • Providing children with a safe, secure and welcoming environment.
  • Building meaningful relationships with children, families and the school community.
  • Working collaboratively within a team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
  • Assisting with food preparation and general cleaning tasks.
  • Participating in professional and personal development.
  • Supporting the Christian Ethos of the College and the OSHC

Selection Criteria

Successful applicants will require the following:

  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education or studying towards.
  • Other OSHC qualifications as per ACECQA requirements.
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
  • Current First Aid and CPR.
  • Previous childcare or OSHC experience preferable.
  • Current Child Protection Training Certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to positively and proactively engage with staff, children and families.
  • Knowledge, understanding of and commitment to quality early childhood education.
