Job description
Concordia Lutheran College Hume Street Kindergarten, located in Toowoomba is an extended hours sessional Kindergarten providing a high quality, nature-based, relationship and school readiness focused program for Kindergarten and Pre Kindy children.
We are excited to have some flexible options available for a qualified Early Childhood Teacher in a fixed term contract to cover a maternity leave position until the end of 2022. We value work life balance and value you as a team member so we are ready to negotiate how you undertake the role we have vacant.
Options available:
- Full-time Monday to Friday during school terms as the ECT and Nominated Supervisor.
- Job share ECT role where you can work either Monday and Tuesday OR Wednesday and Thursday
- We are happy to work with you on the flexible options available.
Selection Criteria
To be considered, you will have:
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (ACECQA Approved)
- Current Blue Card
- Teacher’s Registration
- Current First Aid and CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates
- Ability to implement a play-based Kindergarten program based on the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG)
- Knowledge and experience of National Quality Standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective time management skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- A professional and enthusiastic attitude
- Willingness to work within the Christian ethos
