Position Summary
The Operations Manager (F&B - Events) role is a full time position that reports to the General Manager. They are responsible for the overall direction of the Food and Beverage offering across 107, managing the logistic requirements of our events including furniture and venue setup, and leading a passionate team of casual staff to provide the best hospitality and customer service experience to our diverse and creative communities.

- Award: Amusement, Events and Recreation Award
- Remuneration:$60,000.00 p.a. / $30.00 per hour
- Superannuation Contribution: 9.5%
- Employment: Full Time - 6 month contract (potential to transition to an ongoing role with the right candidate and business growth).
- Hours of operation: Monday-Sunday 7am-12am. Hours will vary each week depending on event delivery.

Key Responsibilities
The Operations Manager (F&B - Events) is responsible for:
- Managing the operation of the food and beverage offerings across the organisation including temporary pop-ups and custom activations as required.
- Engage with our key catering partners to ensure the service, standard, and variety of food provided meets the requirements of the organisation including overseeing menus and catering packages.
- Identify new opportunities to expand and capitalise on our F&B operations.
- Control all F&B costs including stock management and staffing.
- Manage existing supplier relationships and identify new partnership opportunities in line with organisational requirements.
- Coordinate logistics for events as required including furniture, staffing and equipment transportation.
- Assist with the recruitment and selection of team members.
- Conduct training, performance evaluation, and mentoring of staff.
- Develop relationships with regular customers and community members.
- Ensure all WHS and sustainability commitments are upheld including ensuring all food safety regulations are followed, event activations and F&B offerings are safe, and responsible service of alcohol requirements are met.

Required Skills and Certifications
- Tertiary qualification in Catering, F&B Management, Event Management, or similar degree; or 3 years equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated organisational skills.
- Demonstrated experience in leading a high-performing team.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the food industry.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in the management of PoS systems, Lightspeed (Kounta) preferable.
- Demonstrated experience in providing exceptional customer service.
- A current RSA certificate and Food Safety Supervisor certification.
- Drivers Licence.
Non Essential, Desirable Skills and Certifications
- Demonstrated experience using digital account keeping software, e.g. Xero.
- Demonstrated experience using Google Suite or other cloud based servers.
- Demonstrated experience in the Not-For-Profit sector.
- Demonstrated experience in the creative and performing arts industries.
- Completion of Cultural Competency and/or other Diversity education programs.
