Since 2006, we’ve sent teams of young people into schools all over Australia to help other young people stand up instead of standing by watching. Our workshops have impacted over 350,000 young people in every State and Territory and we have scaled that impact by launching a range of digital offerings such as PROJECT ROCKIT Online and TV.

The position:
There are 9600+ schools in Australia and to achieve our social mission, our goal is to get PROJECT ROCKIT into as many of them as possible. As Head of School Growth, your leadership here is critical. It will be your mission to research, develop and implement improved and sustainable ways to deliver PROJECT ROCKIT into even more schools across Australia. You will develop growth and sales strategies for all of our programs in order to achieve targets and stimulate organisational growth. You will work closely as a team with the Head of Programs to ensure that this growth equates to smooth expansion and delivery of workshops into schools. A key function of your role is to motivate and manage the Schools Team; a small but mighty unit of bookings and school engagement coordinators. As team leader, you will project manage the different outputs and objectives of the School Team, keeping everyone positive, in sync and focussed.
As PROJECT ROCKIT goes from strength to strength partnering with global organisations such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter you will play a key role in liaising with key stakeholders and ensuring the success of these partnerships. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will help steer the strategic direction of PROJECT ROCKIT and oversee the implementation.

Core Responsibilities:
Sales and Operations:
- Stimulate growth by designing and implementing short term and long term bookings tactics to be delivered by the Schools Team
- Achieve monthly and annual sales milestones and ensure the Schools Team is receiving the direction and support they need to hit their individual KPIs
- Prepare and present weekly/monthly/annual sales reports to CEO and drive short and long term growth strategy
- Problem solve to improve the systems, processes, communications and delivery of the Schools team - both internally as a team and externally with stakeholders
- Responsible for the development and ongoing management of booking services policies and procedures to ensure consistent delivery of outstanding programs
- Manage school compliance admin to ensure we comply with regulatory and ethical standards
Team Management:
- Supervise and develop the Bookings Team and School Engagement Officer and conduct quarterly reviews to manage their performance
- Supervise professional performance, wellbeing, cohesion and conduct of Schools Team on a daily basis
- Create professional development pathways for the schools team, as well as provide internal and external training opportunities
- Grow the team by managing the strategy, recruitment, onboarding and training of any new employees
- Ensure that the Bookings Team and Head of Programs are monitoring supply and demand to ensure that presenters can smoothly deliver face-to-face initiatives without issue
Growth and Strategy:
- Assist in the design of a national expansion strategy and oversee its implementation and evaluation
- Design and implement long-term retention and conversion strategies to mindfully expand PROJECT ROCKIT presence and ensure lasting sustainability in schools
- Grow awareness of PROJECT ROCKIT face-to-face initiatives by building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and potential partners
- Serve on the senior leadership team and contribute to the strategic direction of PROJECT ROCKIT, overseeing the delivery of core objectives
Key selection criteria:
- Strong understanding of PROJECT ROCKIT’s mission, approach and ethos and a demonstrated commitment to social change
- A comprehensive understanding of the school ecosystem
- High level skills in establishing goals, developing strategic and operational plans, and driving implementation
- Awesome leadership skills including highly developed interpersonal skills, communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation
- Experience managing a high performing team, wellbeing, cohesion and supporting professional development
- Natural problem solver who is positive, action-oriented and committed to seeing through solutions
- Experienced relationship builder with demonstrated ability to grow an engaged network of supporters
- Ability to establish outcomes and facilitate and lead working groups, meetings, forums in order to implement strategies and drive growth
- Exceptional administration and organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience in using professional sales methodologies (KPI-driven strategies to set and achieve sales targets, experience creating EDMs, invoicing and using CRM systems)
Desired but not essential:
- Demonstrated experience/knowledge of the challenges working in a social enterprise
- Have completed or undertaking further education training in business, sales, management, communications or a related field
