Pride Disability Services is a specialised Disability Support Service based in Melbourne. The staff at Pride Disability Services focus on delivering person centred, quality and dedicated supports and services to LGBTIQ and gender diverse individuals, who have intellectual, physical, or mental health disabilities.

We provide a non-threatening, non-judgmental, and safe environment where individuals can access gay, lesbian, trans and other community groups.

We bridge the gap for the people of the LGBTIQIA+ and gender diverse community, who have intellectual, physical, mental health disabilities, their caregivers, families and friends, and mainstream society.

We are looking for an exceptional and highly experienced NDIS Support Coordinator with creative thinking to partner with us and help grow the Pride Disability Services brand in Victoria. Only the very best Coordinators need apply.

You will be a self-starter and a go-getter and able to hit the road running. You will build your case load from referrals through the business and will also draw on your already established networks and business relationships to help grow our national presence.

About you:

You will:

  • Understand the barriers and issues confronting participants trying to navigate the NDIS
  • Be a driven individual, high energy, passionate and dedicated to meet KPIs supporting the Business Development Plan
  • Be emotionally intelligent and have the ability to empathise with customers and respond to their ever-changing needs.
  • Have a passion for social justice and improving the quality of life of people you support
  • Possess creative problem-solving skills to find solutions to complex systemic barriers

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, health or social science, Allied Health, or Diploma in community work or equivalent and / or extensive experience in psychosocial support coordination or Case Management
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and how this relates to participant plans
  • Current National Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Current Driver's License
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Access to your own vehicle suitable for work purposes
  • More than 1 years’ experience as a support coordinator, LAC, or similar.
  • Previous experience working with people with psychosocial disabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the capacity to liaise effectively with a wide range of individuals and service providers
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Computer literacy in word, excel, database, internet and email software
  • Understanding of logistical, ethical and human rights issues affecting people with disability and their significant others
  • Understanding of the NDIS Legislation and its relevance to support coordination

Desirable

  • Previous business experience
  • Previous experience in marketing and promotion
  • Experience in a customer relations role
