About you:

We are currently searching for our newest team members to join our growing team in Tasmania. We have 2x Casual positions available for Registered Nurses in the North West. You must be AHPRA registered and have a current licence to practise.

You will:

  • Have passion to provide a high quality of support to our participants that encourages independence, individual abilities, community participation and quality of life.
  • Effectively implement individual support plans to maximise participant outcomes and attainment of goals.
  • Be knowledgeable on NDIS compliance, standards and processes of practice.
  • Be able to work in a supportive team environment but also have the ability to work as an individual, critically think and make informed decisions.

Let us tell you about the role:

As the on call Registered Nurse, you will strengthen client health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with clients, their families, other health professionals and the client’s support team.

  • Interact effectively with clients’ families and other health team members to facilitate the provision of optimum client care that maximises independence.
  • Contribute to the review and development of innovative procedures, policies and best practice related to client care.
  • Practice in accordance with the NMBA codes and guidelines for registered nurses and midwives.

What is essential?

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and has a current license to practice as a nurse.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in a health care setting or experience deemed equivalent.

What is desirable?

  • Experience in an acute care setting.
  • Experience in an ICU, acute medical or acute surgical setting highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and capability in the disability sector gained through applicable experience, training and education.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake research, assess findings, draw conclusions and report.
