As the Manager - Health and Safety, you will lead and manage a geographically dispersed team of experienced Health and Safety Specialists. You will have strategic and operational oversight of the health and safety function across the organisation.
The successful candidate will be proactive with communication and engagement skills. This position is perfect for an experienced Health and Safety leader with contemporary knowledge who thrives in a dynamic environment – being in a position of responsibility with the ability to lead and influence change. Having the ability to build strong relationships and having influence to drive sustainable change will be a strength.
Permanent, Full time. Salary to be negotiated with the successful candidate.
This role provides an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety professional to make their mark in the not-for-profit sector. Reporting to the Head of Safety and Wellbeing, the Manager – Health and Safety will lead a geographically dispersed team and provide leadership, direction and professional development to the team of Health and Safety Specialists. You will support them in setting goals and expectations in order to deliver operational excellence and promote a positive and proactive team culture.
You will be responsible for leading the Health and Safety function to ensure innovative and best practice procedures, frameworks, policies and programs are in place to minimise risk and develop and build the safety culture across the organisation. In addition to discovering opportunities for improving the Health and Safety culture and performance.
This position will be based at one of our corporate office locations in Victoria (Sunshine or Moonee Ponds), Tasmania (Hobart or Launceston), or NSW (Bella Vista or Islington).
