We are seeking an energetic Events Manager who is professional, adaptable and who understands the needs of a fast-moving, expanding business. Reporting to our Operations Manager and liaising closely with our Production Kitchen Head Chef you will be responsible for the sale and delivery of all Plate it Forward events and catering.
The Events Manager is responsible for coordinating all aspects of internal and external events. This includes working with customers to help them plan their menu and working with chefs to develop packages that appeal to our clients. You will collaborate closely with the Chefs to ensure beautiful food that reflects Plate it Forwards ethos. The Events Manager is responsible for creating events that function smoothly for both the customer and for the staff. Plate it Forward clients should receive customer service that enhances our organisation's image, improves client loyalty, and enhances our brand-to-client experience.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Communicate with the clients to understand the objective, preferences and budget of the event.
- Grow catering sales.
- Work with the clients to create an appropriate menu.
- Roster and manage all staff for events
- Create run sheets that detail menu requirements for the kitchen and that schedule all staff movement during the event.
- Communicate with the production kitchen and with vendors to ensure that all resources needed for events are secured in a timely manner
- Ensure that events run smoothly, and solve problems before and during events in a way that leaves all parties feeling well looked after
- Make sure that all FOH staff are knowledgeable about guests allergies and dietaries
- Ensure that events comply with Plate it Forward’s Policies & Procedures, and WHS guidelines
- Coordinate all operations before, during and after the event
- Create a clear, concise reporting for post-event evaluation
