With over 200,000 Australian’s living with Prostate Cancer, and 3,500 deaths every year, Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) is dedicated to reducing the burden of prostate cancer on Australian men, their partners, families and the wider community.
We take action by:
- Promoting and funding world leading, innovative research into prostate cancer
- Implementing awareness campaigns and education programs for the Australian community, health professionals and Government
- Supporting men and their families through evidence-based information and resources, support groups and Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurses
The role:
Reporting to the Western Regional Manager, the position works alongside key managers at PCFA to engage and nurture supporter relationships.
You will be responsible for the operational capability of the fundraising function of Western Australia. The appointee will inspire community support and awareness, cultivate strategic partnerships and foster deep engagement with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- This role will work closely with the Western Regional Manager to grow State fundraising activities maximising all fundraising income and achieving the financial objectives
- The position is responsible for managing an existing portfolio of community fundraisers, National campaigns and State initiatives
- Leads acquisition and retention activities to supporters across community fundraising, major gifts, corporate partnerships, bequests, foundations and other income streams
- Co-ordinate monitoring and reporting of state-based fundraising income and expenditure
- Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team in preparing State relevant content on our websites and social media
- Maintain and update our CRM and ensure all administration processes are completed
- Grow existing fundraising engagement focused on strengthening relationships with donors and fundraisers, diversifying revenue streams and increasing awareness of PCFA’s work
- Work collaboratively with other organisational teams including marketing, fundraising and management to develop, maintain and implement along with ensuring organisational interdependencies are well planned for, communicated and managed
- Demonstrated experience in financial budgeting detailed project analysis and reporting of all community fundraising income streams ensuring profit from all fundraising activities
- Ability to identify and engage external stakeholder to promote campaigns and fundraising events with promotional campaign material, positive messaging and social media
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Not-For-Profit Community Fundraising position would be highly regarded, however applicants in other fundraising streams are encouraged to apply
- Proven ability to develop and implement engagement strategies and successfully deliver fundraising activities that span identified campaign target demographics
- Be an outstanding, authentic and credible communicator
- Well networked in WA philanthropic circles and business in WA and understand how to leverage them to achieve State targets
- Strategic and future-focused, you are driven to make a positive and lasting impact
- Assured, collaborative and digital savvy
- Your experience will span marketing, commercial partnership development, public relations and financial and operational management
- A track record and evidence of meeting and exceeding financial targets
- Strong customer service and experience in liaising with people at all levels
- Demonstrated success in setting goals and priorities with adherence to project timelines
- Experience in coordination, recruitment and management of volunteers for community events and other activities when required
