Due to growth, we are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our health team to support our participants in achieving their goals.

Our team are qualified health professionals located in the inner west, northern suburbs of Melbourne as well as some parts of  Regional Victoria, New South Wales and the ACT. 

We are currently recruiting for an Occupational Therapist to work in our Altona clinic. Full time or part time opportunities are available. 

We offer individual OT assessments and intervention for children, adolescents and adults. We also run group based social skills programs to support participants to achieve their NDIS goals. 

We accept participants on NDIS who are self-managed or plan managed, as well as Medicare and private patients. 

We are seeking a clinician who is self-motivated, with a passion for helping participants achieve their goals, and who is excited about working within a multi-disciplinary team. We are open to qualified candidates with all levels of experience.

The role

Working with participants aged from 5 years with a range of presentations including, but not limited to; autism spectrum disorder, neurological conditions and physical disabilities. You will have the ability to assess their needs, design and implement individual therapy plans and support them towards achieving their goals.  You will see participants for appointments in our clinic rooms, at their school or over telehealth.

We also support our participants with a range of assessments including sensory profile, Assistive technology and functional capacity assessments.

You will liaise with a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with participant’s families, medical practitioners, schools, and allied health professionals as required. You will complete case management notes and report writing for your participants, as required.

KPIs are based on participant outcomes being achieved. There are no KPIs on billable hours. 

Our administration team will manage your calendars and invoicing, so you can focus on what you do best!

What are we looking for? 

  • Completion of a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy and current registration with AHPRA.  

  • Experience in working with clients with disabilities is highly regarded. 

  • Experience in working with participants who are neurodivergent is highly regarded.  

  • Demonstrated ability to undertake research, analyse information and prepare associated reports. 

  • Well-developed written communication skills with the ability to provide high quality professional reports and case notes. 

  • Well-developed verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse client group and to effectively communicate with stakeholders in a manner appropriate to the audience. 

  • NDIS Workers screening check is essential.
