What You Will Be Doing

As a key member of the Philanthropy Team, the Donor Relations Officer supports the delivery of Peninsula Health's five-year Philanthropy Strategy through maintaining a quality donor database and excellent donor stewardship of our regular givers. Working with the goal to increase philanthropic support from our donors, engage staff and increase community awareness of Peninsula Health. This role is directly responsible for relationship development with our donors, assisting with fundraising appeals and all aspects of maintaining the CRM, including but not limited to data cleansing, segmentation and running of relevant reports.

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:

  • A commitment to deliver an excellent experience for our donors
  • Previous experience in banking/receipting of donations, management of Return to Senders (cleansing) and upkeep of a donor database
  • Understanding of the implementation of a Regular Giving Program
  • Ability to develop content for all communications tools and materials including newsletters, direct mail campaigns, major gift proposals, website, intranet, eDMs and other fundraising and marketing support material
  • Ability to effectively manage relationships with key internal and external suppliers including mail houses, printers, designers, photographers and copywriters
  • Previous experience in developing monthly finance & donor reports to ensure accurate donation reporting internally
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to pick up the phone to donors
  • Well-developed computer skills in CRM database
