Pearl Consulting is seeking an experienced program manager to join our team to manage several programs for our technology multinational clients. The role will be based in Australia and the contract will run for 12 months with the potential for renewal, dependent on client needs. This role reports to the Managing Director within Pearl Consulting and a point of contact (POC) within the client organisation.

The programs broadly cover the areas of:

  1. Programs and partnership management focused on Economic Impact targeting micro, small and medium businesses particularly women led businesses, first nations people and other relevant undeserved communities,
  2. Digital citizenship, misinformation, and online safety initiatives.

The successful candidate will need to combine strategic-thinking and a hands-on approach to execute on high-impact, scalable ideas, programs and events (virtually and in-person). The candidate will have the experience of program management and execution, government and other stakeholder engagement, and experience in developing and / or delivering capacity building or training initiatives. Non-profit or cross-sector partnership development management experience is beneficial, as is communications and event management experience.

The candidate's skill-set should include the ability to work remotely and independently, but also be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams in different countries across the Asia Pacific region.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute partnerships and programs in the fields of economic impact and women empowerment, as well as online safety, misinformation, and digital citizenship across Australia, aligned to the client’s public policy programs goals;
  • Assist with planning and production of relevant events, communications and collaterals;
  • Support program related communications initiatives, coordinating between partner organisations and the client’s communications and brand management teams, and external agencies;
  • Ensure monitoring and evaluation processes are in place for partners and that effective programs reporting is completed, demonstrating program outcomes;
  • Undertake research for new program development and partnership opportunity identification;
  • Initiate and lead relationship management and coordination of Lead Trainers at the country level;
  • Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support programs strategy;
  • Manage process to identify stories and case studies of program beneficiaries;
  • Work closely with Pearl Consulting and client-side colleagues on government engagement;
  • Support the client’s public policy team on various program initiatives and other duties as identified for client’s public policy objectives in Australia.

Requirements and Attributes

  • 5+ years of experience in community engagement programs in Australia;
  • Bachelor's Degree in policy, communications, international relations, marketing or relevant field;
  • Experience in cross-sector partnerships, program delivery and / or project management;
  • Experience with feet-on-the-ground community stakeholders, willing to be very involved;
  • Abreast with regional and/or local policy issues, politics, government and civil society;
  • Exceptional written and oral communication in English;
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced environment, demonstrate initiative and the ability to flourish amidst ambiguity;
  • Experience working in the private sector is a benefit, preferably in a multi-national;
  • Experience with global policy issues, working with government or on government programs, conducting stakeholder mapping and government engagement a benefit;
  • Experience coordinating communications activities, events or trainings and the development of marketing materials a benefit;
  • Good cross-functional and project management skills with experience managing multiple high priority projects simultaneously;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, experience working with all levels of seniority and ability to build successful relationships, both internally and externally, through collaboration and ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organisation;
  • Self-starter, able to work independently but remain a collaborative team player.
