Parks Victoria are looking for a Park Interpretation Project Officer to provide advice, direction and support to enable the implementation of park interpretation projects.

About the role: 

This position will provide advice, direction and support to enable the implementation of non-personal park interpretation including interpretive planning for signs, displays and other physical and digital information to enhance the visitor experience with a focus on state-wide significant capital projects. The position will be involved in developing guidelines, procedures, tools and content for park interpretation to support project managers, project teams and external service providers in best practice and high-quality interpretive outcomes.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Demonstrated experience in education and/or interpretation services, visitor information and/or visitor experience and design
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and evaluation of interpretation, park information and visitor engagement content, programs and services
  • The ability to establish and managing successful relationships and partnerships with government, community and stakeholder organisations
  • Formal qualifications in protected area management, education and/or interpretation are preferable
