OzChild

OzChild is one of the longest-serving charities for children, young people and families in Australia. OzChild employs over 700 staff, carers and volunteers in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and the ACT, delivering 23 programs and services to over 10,000 children, young people and family members.

An independent not-for profit organisation, OzChild provides support for children and young people in foster and kinship care and keeps families together where possible. This is done through the delivery of evidence-based programs and services aimed at strengthening and repairing relationships. OzChild has a proven record of working collaboratively with government to allocate investment in innovative solutions to achieve better outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.

Executive Director Engagement & Experience

As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team you will support OzChild to deliver its vision to keep all children and young people safe, respected, nurtured, and reaching their full potential. Your leadership approach will foster a strategic, collaborative, inclusive and respectful workplace. Your track record should reflect a commitment to the recognition of diversity, fairness, equity and respect towards all staff that reinforce a values-based culture.

The Executive Director Engagement and Experience is accountable for Brand, Marketing & Communications, Business Development, Philanthropy and Fundraising functions to maximise the promotion of OzChild. You will advance the Stakeholder Management Framework and provide meaningful insight to strengthen new and long-term strategic partnerships across government, sector, research and advocacy. Collaborating with the CEO and ELT you’ll also provide strategic advice to design and implement a unique end-to-end OzChild experience for clients, carers, employees and stakeholders.

It is expected that applicants will possess senior executive leadership across brand, marketing, communications, advocacy and stakeholder engagement functions ideally in similar not-for-profit and/or government sectors. You’ll demonstrate an excellent commitment to evidence based practice to enable system change, strategic planning that enhance critical operational requirements and improve user experience.
