Trainer Assessor - Community Pharmacy

The Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) is the national peak body representing Australia’s 31,000 pharmacists working in all sectors and across all locations in Australia. We are now seeking to appoint an experienced Trainer Assessor – Community Pharmacy to work from either our North Sydney office or our Parkville, Melbourne office. This is a full time role for a contract period of 12 months, reporting to the Senior Training Officer.

The role will be responsible for the effective delivery of nationally accredited vocational training of the PSA Registered Training Organisation (RTO). In particular, to train and assess in the community pharmacy qualifications and identified skill sets from these qualifications to improve the knowledge and skills of pharmacy staff and to deliver exceptional learning experience.

To be considered for this role you must be able to address the following selection criteria:

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or its successor) or a diploma or higher level qualification in adult education;
  • SIR40116 Certificate IV in Community Pharmacy or a higher level qualification in pharmacy that would enable registration as a pharmacist in Australia;
  • Minimum of two (2) years training experience in the delivery of adult training and assessment;
  • Sound knowledge of the VET sector, assessment validation and moderation;
  • Strong customer service orientation and excellent time management skills with the ability to multi task and prioritise work.
