The Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) is the national peak body representing Australia’s 31,000 pharmacists working in all sectors and across all locations in Australia. We are seeking an experienced and motivated State Manager – Western Australia (WA) to manage the WA office and state member program delivery and play an important role in PSA’s advocacy agenda to advance the profession. This is a full time position reporting to the Chief Operating Officer located in Canberra.

Key responsibilities will include supporting and growing PSA membership, contributing to the advancement of pharmacist practice through contribution to PSA policy and advocacy, delivering superior member services in WA, management of the WA office and supporting the W Branch Committee.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to address the following selection criteria:-

• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills;
• Knowledge of contemporary issues in the Australian health sector including an understanding of the issues affecting the pharmacy profession;
• Relevant qualifications in Business, Management or a related discipline;
• Experience in a member based, not for profit organisation with demonstrated outcomes in member engagement, recruitment and growth (highly desirable);
• Proven skills in building relationships both internally and externally to the organisation including the ability to liaise with industry leaders, government officials, and other senior industry leaders;
• Well developed interpersonal, communication, literacy and financial skills.
• Relevant qualifications in Pharmacy or health would be highly regarded.
